A new trailer has been released for the upcoming horror film “Night Patrol,” revealing more details about CM Punk’s character, who appears to be an LAPD officer and possibly a vampire. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on January 16, 2026.
While it was previously announced that Punk would have a significant role in the film, the trailer confirms he is one of the movie’s main antagonists. Search results identify his specific role as the “brutal right-hand man” to a police sergeant.
A description of the film reads: “An LAPD officer must put aside his differences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is harboring a horrific secret that endangers the residents of the housing projects he grew up in”. That “horrific secret” appears to be that the police task force is comprised of vampire cops. The film’s tagline is, “Defang the police”.
“Night Patrol” is directed by Ryan Prows, who also co-wrote the script. The film stars Jermaine Fowler as the main protagonist. The cast also includes RJ Cyler, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Flying Lotus, Dermot Mulroney, Jon Oswald, and Nicki Micheaux.
The film, which premiered at Fantastic Fest 2025, has received positive early buzz. Check it out below:
