SPOILER: Former WWE Star Expected To Appear As Solo Sikoa’s Opponent On Monday Night Raw

The “Last Time Is Now” tournament is set to continue on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Madison Square Garden. One of the featured tournament matches will see Solo Sikoa take on a mystery opponent. Now, the identity of that opponent has reportedly been revealed.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, the name that has been planned for the mystery spot is former WWE star Dolph Ziggler, who now competes under his real name, Nic Nemeth. Fightful Select spoke with WWE sources who claimed that materials were produced internally in relation to Dolph Ziggler taking on Solo Sikoa on tonight’s episode of Raw.

This would mark a significant return for Ziggler, who competed in WWE for over 15 years and is a multi-time World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion. Since his release in September 2023, he has been wrestling as Nic Nemeth, most notably winning the TNA World Championship.

The report notes that, as of Monday afternoon, this match was being prepared for internal use. However, “there’s always a chance things could change” before the show goes on the air. The potential for a surprise opponent follows last Friday’s SmackDown, where Zack Ryder (Matt Cardona) made his return as the mystery opponent for LA Knight.

Tonight’s Raw is already a packed show, featuring John Cena’s final appearance on the red brand, GUNTHER’s return to action against Je’Von Evans, and Becky Lynch defending the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Maxxine Dupri. Several big names are backstage at WWE Raw. For more on that, click here.
