Jacy Jayne Wins NXT Women’s Championship
Jacy Jayne is the new NXT Women’s Champion following a chaotic main event that saw the implosion of the champion’s faction. Jayne defeated Tatum Paxley to capture the title, capitalizing on a betrayal by The Culling.
The match was a high-stakes affair with both women accompanied by their respective entourages. Paxley was flanked by Izzi Dame, Shawn Spears, and Niko Vance, while Jayne had Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid in her corner.
Champion Shows Honor, Refuses Shortcuts
Throughout the match, Paxley displayed a new level of honor, refusing to resort to the underhanded tactics her group is known for. Early in the bout, after hitting Jayne with a rolling kick and a neckbreaker off the top rope, Paxley seemed in control.
Seeing an opportunity, Shawn Spears hopped on the apron to distract the referee. Simultaneously, Izzi Dame tossed a steel chair into the ring for Paxley to use. The champion rejected the help, throwing the chair out of the ring instead of using it on her challenger.
The Culling Implodes
The match descended into chaos as both entourages got involved. After a series of near falls and interference attempts from Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley, the situation reached a boiling point.
Paxley was sent through the middle ropes to the outside. Shawn Spears and Niko Vance then physically blocked her path, refusing to let her re-enter the ring. The ultimate betrayal came moments later when Izzi Dame kicked Paxley in the face.
A New Champion is Crowned
Dame then threw the stunned Paxley back into the ring, serving her up to the challenger. Jacy Jayne wasted no time capitalizing on the situation. She hit Paxley with her signature move, the Rolling Encore, and covered her for the three-count.
Jayne celebrated with her new championship gold as the show ended, while a betrayed and beaten Paxley was left to process the collapse of her alliance with The Culling.
