Ridge Holland provided fans with a significant health update, revealing that he underwent successful neck surgery. Holland posted a video to Instagram confirming that the procedure involved an artificial disc replacement spanning from C5 to C7.
Surgery Details And Recovery
Holland expressed his gratitude to the medical staff who performed the procedure, noting the high quality of care he received in a Manhattan hospital. “Surgery went well. C5 to C7 artificial disc replacement. Thank you to the amazing care at @hspecialsurgery Manhattan. And thank you for all the messages of support. I’ll get back to you all over the next few days. #therebuild”.
The successful procedure comes after his messy exit from WWE, where he stated he was released while injured and struggling to make mortgage payments.
Post-WWE Injury And Financial Situation
Holland had been dealing with a Lisfranc foot injury, sustained during a match in TNA with Moose, which required six to seven months of recovery and put him without guaranteed pay after his contract was terminated early. Despite the controversial circumstances of his departure, there was a report that WWE would still cover the cost of his surgery and rehab.
Holland’s focus is now entirely on recovery, though he stated that his future return to the ring remains to be seen. Holland recently posted that he is “not chasing a contract” right now but is instead “chasing peace”. We wish him a speedy recovery.
