Thunder Rosa, a former AEW Women’s World Champion, has given fans a major positive update regarding her in-ring future. After spending months on the sidelines due to a recent injury, Rosa is officially back in training. The star confirmed her comeback preparations in a new Instagram story, which showed her intensely working out in her home gym in Texas.
Injury Recovery Going Smoothly
Rosa has confirmed that she is deep into her training and is “sweating it out” as she builds up to a full return to the ring. This update comes after a series of setbacks for the popular star, who previously had to relinquish her AEW Women’s World Championship due to a back injury in 2022, followed by a concussion in 2023. Speaking directly to her fans on social media, she gave details on her preparations:
“I’m training for my comeback. Once again, it’s all good. It’s 80 degrees in Texas…..I trained for an hour and started sweating 20 minutes in. Thanks to Melissa, she’s one of my strength and conditioning trainers. She’s freaking awesome.”
In a previous statement, the former champion also made it clear that her recovery had been progressing smoothly. She is optimistic that she will be cleared for a return to competition in the near future, which will be a welcome addition to the AEW women’s division.
“Expecting to Return Fairly Soon”
Rosa detailed her progress in her previous update, stating that she is focusing on her rehabilitation and is close to returning to the ring. She stated about her progress:
“Right now, I’m just focusing on continuing my rehab from the injuries I had a couple of months ago. And I have really good news — everything is going really well. So, I’m expecting to return to the ring fairly soon.”
Rosa has been out of the ring since July after suffering an undisclosed injury during the women’s Casino Gauntlet match at All In: Texas. We wish her a speedy recovery.
