Following a victory at Survivor Series: WarGames, AJ Lee has given her team a special name. The ‘Black Widow’ teamed up with Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY to take down the heel team of Nia Jax, Lash Legend, Becky Lynch, Kairi Sane, and Asuka.
The babyfaces were the popular team at Petco Park, with fans pouring in their love and appreciation for the group, especially Lee, as this was only her second match since returning to WWE. She took to social media to reveal the name of her unit, captioning a photo of the group, “Tell your kids these were the Avengers.”
This match marked the latest chapter in the issues between Lynch and Lee. Prior to this, Lee had teamed up with CM Punk to take down Seth Rollins and Lynch in a mixed tag team match. Following that, she interfered by causing a distraction during Lynch vs. Maxxine Dupri, leading to ‘The Man’ losing the championship bout.
It is expected that the rivarly between Lee and Lynch will continue on tonight’s Raw.
