Hulk Hogan’s Widow Denies Ric Flair’s Claim That “Street Drugs” Killed The Wrestling Legend
Sky Daily, the widow of professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, has publicly refuted recent claims made by Ric Flair suggesting that illegal drugs played a role in her late husband’s death. Daily issued a direct denial to TMZ Sports, stating that the “Nature Boy” was either misinformed or misunderstood regarding the circumstances of Hogan’s passing in July 2025.
The controversy stems from Flair’s recent appearance on the DOUBL3 COVERAGE podcast, where he discussed Hogan’s deteriorating health. Flair alleged that Hogan’s doctors had stopped prescribing him pain medication to manage the agony from his numerous wrestling-related injuries, leading the former WWE Champion to resort to “unorthodox measures” to cope.
“I talked to him the day before he died,” Flair claimed on the podcast. “I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs… His body just said, ‘You know what? Bingo. I can’t do it anymore’.”
“That Didn’t Happen At All”
Daily categorically denied Flair’s version of events, specifically rejecting the notion that Hogan turned to street drugs or that Flair had spoken to him the day before he died. She told TMZ Sports point-blank, “That didn’t happen at all.”
According to Daily, Hogan was under the constant care of medical professionals at the Morton Plant Hospital in Florida during his final days. She clarified that the only adjustments made to his medication regimen were implemented following a neck procedure, strictly to ensure that the prescriptions did not negatively impact his lungs.
No Ill Will Toward The Nature Boy
Despite the serious nature of the claims, Daily emphasized that the family harbors no anger toward Flair. She acknowledged the close friendship between the two wrestling legends and expressed her belief that Flair did not intend any harm with his comments.
Hogan passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest. The family’s primary goal in addressing Flair’s statement was simply to correct the record regarding the final days of the Hulkster’s life.
