AEW Dynamite Preview: Continental Classic Matches And World Title Confrontation

AEW Dynamite airs live tonight from the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana, featuring the second week of the Continental Classic tournament.

Following his victory over Katsuyori Shibata on Collision, Eddie Kingston made his intentions clear regarding the AEW World Championship. Tonight, Kingston will stand face-to-face with champion Samoa Joe ahead of their title fight at Winter Is Coming in Atlanta next Wednesday.

The Blue League features a clash between Death Riders teammates as Jon Moxley takes on Claudio Castagnoli. This marks the first time the two have faced off in AEW. Castagnoli enters the match with momentum after winning the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, while Moxley looks to stabilize his standing following a string of submission losses since All In Texas.

In Gold League action, “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher faces “The Jet” Kevin Knight. Both men are tied with 3 points, making this a bout for leaderboard positioning. Additionally, Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada looks to bounce back from a loss to Fletcher when he takes on Pac in a rematch from Dynasty 2024.

The semifinals of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament continue with a violent stipulation. The team of “Timeless” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa (Timeless Love Bombs) will face Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir in a Hardcore Holiday Death Match. The winner will advance to face The Babes of Wrath in the finals.
