Nick Khan Wants To Bring Back Pat McAfee, Praises John Cena’s Work Ethic

Nick Khan Praises John Cena And Teases Pat McAfee’s Return To WWE

WWE President Nick Khan made a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, where he discussed the upcoming retirement of John Cena and the potential return of the show’s host to WWE programming. With Cena’s final match fast approaching on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Khan took a moment to highlight the legendary work ethic that has defined the 16-time World Champion’s career.

Khan spoke extensively about Cena’s attitude behind the scenes, noting that despite a grueling schedule spanning decades, he has never been one to complain.

“You talk about people who work their behinds off, who never say that they’re tired: Cena,” Khan said. “You know him, you never hear him say, ‘I’m so tired, I can’t believe this, I have to do this or that.’ He just does it. And you talk about the GOAT [Greatest of All Time], that’s GOAT mentality. He deserves everything that he’s earned in his life, and it’s our honor to help see him out.”

“We’re Going To Bring You Back”

In addition to celebrating Cena, the conversation turned to Pat McAfee’s own status with WWE. McAfee, who has been away from the commentary desk due to his commitments with ESPN’s College GameDay, received a direct assurance from the WWE President regarding his future with the company.

Khan indicated that the two would be meeting shortly to formalize McAfee’s return timeline now that the college football season is winding down.

“Listen, we’re going to bring you back,” Khan told McAfee. “I know you and I are going to sit together once college football slows a little bit.”
