NXT Championship: Ricky Saints (Champion) vs Oba Femi

Saints walked the tightrope and hit a hurricanrana on Femi. He followed it up with a spear for a near fall. They exchanged punches before Saints hit him with a stunner for a two-count. Femi escaped a guillotine. Saints dove through the ropes onto Femi. Femi got back in and got hit by a Famouser. Femi hit Saints with a running elbow.

They fought outside the ring. Saints gave Femi a spinning DDT on the ring steps. They got back in the ring and Saints hit another spinning DDT for a near fall. Femi nailed Saints with a powerbomb followed by a sit-up powerbomb to win the title.

With the win, Femi will face WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night Main Event. After the match, Femi and Saints shook hands.

Winner and new NXT Champion: Oba Femi

Earlier today:

They showed Kendal Grey footage from when she was younger competing in sports. She said she grew up a fan of John Cena, and now it was him that chose her to compete in the Iron Woman Survivor Match. Wren Sinclair said she is proud of Grey and is here to support her.

Backstage:

Sol Ruca face-timed Zaria. Ruca apologized for what has been going on the last few weeks. Zaria said she felt terrible. She would have been here tonight, but didn’t think she wanted her there. Ruca then said she’s sorry for not telling her she will be on Saturday Night’s Main Event, but she didn’t think Zaria wanted to hear from her. Zaria said when she gets back, they will talk about this further.

Pre-tape

They showed footage of Hank Walker & Tank Ledger in Japan including winning the GHC tag team championship in NOAH

Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge: Sol Ruca vs Jordynne Grace vs Kelani Jordan vs Lola Vice vs Kendal Grey

Kelani Jordan and Kendal Grey started the match. Grey pinned Jordan with a suplex and scored a point. Jordynne Grace was the next entrant. Jordan rolled up Grey to score a point. Lola Vice came in next. Grey came off the ropes but Vice caught her with a kick and pinned her to score a point. Grey caught Grace in an armbar and rolled her up to score her second point. Jordan came off the top rope onto Grace, but Grace rolled through it and pinned her to score a point. Sol Ruca was the final entrant. Before entering the penalty box, Jordan attacked Ruca and slammed her knee against the ring steps. Ruca had to be helped to the back. 

Ruca returned after a couple minutes. She hit the Sol Snatcher on Jordan and Vice. Ruca pinned Jordan to score a point and immediately pinned Vice to score her second point. Grey hit the Fade to Grey on Grace. Jordan broke up the pin attempt with a splash off the top rope and pinned Grace to score her second point. Grace hit a Doctor Bomb on Jordan and pinned her for her second point. Vice hit a spinning kick to the head of Grey to score her second point. Ruca connected with a Sol Snatcher outside the ring on Vice. Jordan got out of the penalty box and kicked Ruca’s bad leg. Jordan rolled Ruca into the ring and hit a 450 on Ruca. As she went for the pin, Grace threw Jordan out of the ring. Grey then hit the Fade to Grey on Ruca and pinned her to score her third point with a few seconds remaining to win the match.

With the win, Grey will now face Jacy Jayne at NXT New Year’s Evil.

Blake Monroe told Ava she wants to have an open challenge for her Women’s North American Championship on Tuesday. 

Backstage:

Myles Borne won his match this past Tuesday, and as a result, is able to choose which entrant number he wants to come out in the Men’s Iron Survivor Match. He chose the third position. They cut to Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace who were brawling and had to be separated by security.

NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page (Champion) vs Mr. Iguana

Iguana dove over the top rope onto Page and caught him with a flying hurricanrana. He threw Page back in the ring and caught him with a flying headbutt for a two-count. Iguana went to the top rope, but Page threw him off, caught him with the Twisted Grin, and pinned him to retain the title.

Winner and still NXT North American Champion: Ethan Page

Backstage:

Sol Ruca told Kendal Grey she was the better woman tonight but if her knee wasn’t injured, she would have been the winner. Wren Sinclair told Ruca that sounds like an excuse. Ruca said Zaria might not be here to defend her questionable behavior, but she’s still her best friend. She fought for her and now Ruca is going to do the same for her. Sinclair and Grey both said they didn’t know what that meant.

Backstage:

Oba Femi confronted Dion Lennox and Dark State. Femi told Dion Lennox he did his part. Lennox said he will do his part and will face him at New Year’s Evil

Tatum Paxley vs Izzi Dame (w/ Shawn Spears & Niko Vance)

Dame kept trying to work on the emotions of Paxley throughout the match pretending to want to make up with her to get an advantage. Paxley dove on Dame, sending both through the ropes. Paxley cleared the announce desk and gave her a Paxley slam. Paxley threw Dame back in the ring. As Paxley was making her way back in the ring, Spears handed her a doll of herself and Paxley. He then ripped the head off the doll of Paxley. Paxley slapped him. Dame hit Paxley with a running kick to her face as she made her way back into the ring. Dame then nailed her with a powerbomb and pinned her.

Winner: Izzi Dame

Backstage:

Je’Von Evans tried to encourage Ricky Saints after Saints told him that he failed in his attempt to beat Oba Femi tonight. Evans said if he wins Iron Survival tonight, he’s not waiting for New Year’s Evil.

Earlier this week:

Dion Lennox said when he came to NXT, people thought he was a joke. He had to align himself with Dark State for people to take him seriously. John Cena picked him to be in the Iron Survival Challenge. He came to NXT to be Dion Lennox. He said he relinquished half of his NXT Tag Team Championship because Dark State can win all the titles. He wants to concentrate on winning the NXT Championship.

Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge: Je’Von Evans vs Joe Hendry vs Myles Borne vs Leon Slater vs Dion Lennox

Evans and Slater started the match. Evans hit Slater with a hurricanrana to earn a point. Myles Borne was the next entrant followed by Dion Lennox. Lennox hit a driver on Evans and pinned him to earn a point. Hendry was the final entrant. Hendry hit a reverse slam on Borne to score a point. Slater hit Hendry with a swanton 450 off the top rope and pinned him to earn a point. Borne hit Lennox with the Borne again and pinned him to earn a point. Evans rolled up Borne with a few seconds left in the match to score his second point and win the match.

With the win, Je’Von Evans will now face Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at NXT New Year’s Evil.

Winner: Je’Von Evans

After the match, Oba Femi came out of the entrance way. The lights went out. When they came back on, Tony D’Angelo was in the ring. Evans stuck out his hand to shake Tony’s but Tony gave him a side slam. He then stared at Oba to end the show.
