TNA Wrestling taped upcoming episodes of TNA Impact on December 6 in El Paso, Texas, featuring significant developments on the road to Genesis.
The major story coming out of the tapings is the continued escalation of the TNA vs. NXT crossover. The night concluded with a massive Steel Cage match where Team TNA (Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, The Hardys, and a returning Santino Marella) defeated Team NXT. Santino stepped in to replace Matt Cardona, who was attacked earlier in the show by Lexis King and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo.
Title pictures also came into focus. Mike Santana confronted TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian, setting up a title clash at Genesis.
