WWE Raw Preview: GUNTHER To Appear, World Tag Team Championship Match

Gunther returns to Monday Night Raw tonight as the winner of The ‘Last Time is Now’ Tournament. The Ring General defeated LA Knight in the tournament final on SmackDown to earn the right to face John Cena in his retirement match this weekend.

Gunther will address the WWE fans in Hershey, Pennsylvania, just six days before he faces “The Greatest of All-Time” at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event. After injuring Knight’s neck with a German suplex and forcing him to tap out on Friday, Gunther has vowed to make the 17-time World Champion suffer a similar fate.

World Tag Team Championship Match

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee are set to defend their World Tag Team Championship against The War Raiders. Styles and Lee successfully defended their titles against The New Day last week and immediately requested another match from General Manager Adam Pearce. Erik and Ivar, who lost the titles to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods at WrestleMania 41, never received a rematch for the gold and will look to become three-time champions tonight.

Women’s World Championship Picture

Reigning Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer will be at the GIANT Center to address her future. With her feud against Hall of Famer Nikki Bella now in the rearview mirror, “La Primera” is searching for her next challenger. Liv Morgan has made it clear she has her sights set on the championship she once held, raising questions about whether she will step up to the “Dark Angel” tonight or if she is planning a longer game to bring gold back to The Judgment Day.

Grudge Matches And New Rivalries

Finn Balor is set to face off against Rey Mysterio in a match with deep personal stakes given The Judgment Day’s affiliation with Dominik Mysterio. Additionally, Roxanne Perez will take on Lyra Valkyria in singles competition. This match comes after a chaotic brawl involving the women’s tag team division last week, where Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan stood tall.

Tonight’s episode of Raw airs live on Netflix at 8 p.m. ET from the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
