Paul’s first official match took place on April 2, 2022, at WrestleMania 38 in Arlington, Texas. He teamed with The Miz to defeat the father-son duo of Rey and Dominik Mysterio. Paul impressed fans and critics alike with his athleticism, even executing a Frog Splash followed by a pin attempt, paying homage to Eddie Guerrero.
However, the night ended on a sour note for the influencer when The Miz turned on him immediately after the bell, delivering a Skull Crushing Finale to his partner. This betrayal set the stage for Paul’s singles run, which saw him sign a multi-event contract with the company later that year.
Championship Success And Current Storylines
Since that debut, Paul has solidified his spot on the roster. He captured the WWE United States Championship in November 2023 at Crown Jewel and held the title for 273 days before losing it to LA Knight at SummerSlam 2024.
