WWE Superstar Aleister Black discussed the prospect of becoming WWE Champion during an appearance on The Babyfaces Podcast. Black reflected on what holding the top prize would mean for his career and how his character would approach the title reign compared to past champions.
“Think for myself, it would mean recognition of something that, in a weird way, is overdue, to an extent,” Black said. “I think I would be a very, very different champion than something they’ve had over the last, you know, perhaps 10 years.”
A Different Kind of Champion Black elaborated on how his specific character traits would influence his portrayal of a world champion. He emphasized a departure from traditional title holders.
“I truly think that what I present and what I represent… and, you know, the aesthetic that I bring is something different,” Black explained. “I think the approach of the narrative that runs in my head when I look at from the perspective of my character to how he sees the world, I think that would tie in the reign a little bit different, because as much as that, the title obviously represents everything that the wrestler wants. I think there’s a hint of cynicism with Aleister, where he kind of straddles along the fourth wall sometimes. And I think that would make the title look very, very different.”
