John Cena has issued a statement following the release of a WWE tribute video commemorating his career. With his final match scheduled for this weekend, the 17-time World Champion took to X to express gratitude to his colleagues and the production staff who have supported him throughout his tenure.
“No one does it alone,” Cena wrote. “Thank you to ALL I’ve ever had the chance to share canvas with, discuss the business, learn from, and all those who behind the scenes make what we do special.”
Acknowledging the Locker Room
The tribute video, released earlier in the day, was set to “Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap and featured numerous WWE Superstars—including Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Paul “Triple H” Levesque—paying respect to Cena. Cena’s response emphasized the collaborative nature of the industry as he prepares for his last outing.
“Saturday is for ALL of us,” Cena continued in his post. “Let’s go to work! One Last Time!!!”
The Final Showdown
Cena is set to face World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. This bout will serve as the official conclusion to Cena’s retirement tour and his 23-year in-ring career with WWE.
