WWE has reached out to several Hall of Famers about attending John Cena’s retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C. According to PWInsiderElite.com, the company is looking to make the event a star-studded affair. One name that has already been confirmed to be in town for the event is Trish Stratus.
Regarding the possibility of Vince McMahon appearing, sources within the company have not heard of any plans for the former Chairman to be there in person. One source noted they would expect Linda McMahon to be present before Vince, but cautioned that “you never know with him.”
As for the rumors surrounding Donald Trump, no one in the company has specifically confirmed his attendance. However, given the location in the nation’s capital, other figures from the political world are expected to be in the audience this weekend. Additionally, a number of A&E executives are slated to be in town for the show.
John Cena’s final match against Gunther is set to take place tomorrow night, marking the end of a legendary career. The event will also feature appearances from other WWE stars and potentially more surprise guests as the wrestling world gathers to bid farewell to the 17-time World Champion.
