Show Opening:

The show opened with a video tribute package to John Cena narrated by Triple H.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs NXT Champion Oba Femi

Femi caught Cody with an Irish Backbreaker early on. He overpowered Cody with a clothesline and sideslam for a two-count. Cody came back with a powerslam and a Cody Cutter for a near fall. Cody dove through the ropes onto Femi. They got back in the ring and Femi caught Cody with a spinebuster. They fought outside the ring again. Femi hit Cody with a running forearm that busted Cody’s ear open and sent him over the announce desk. They got back in the ring. Cody caught Femi with a Cody Cutter. 

Drew McIntyre hit the ring and attacked Cody and the referee called for the bell. Femi pulled Drew off Cody as he was mad at him interfering in the match. He shoved Drew down. Cody gave Drew a Cutter and Femi followed it up with a chokeslam on Drew.

Cody grabbed both belts and handed Femi his NXT Championship. He then raised Femi’s hand and Femi raised Cody’s hand. 

Video Tributes were sent in from members of the Today Show, Tyrese Haliburton, Jordana Brewster, Eli Manning, Snoop Dogg, Peyton Manning, and Jimmy Fallon congratulating John Cena.

After the commercial break, more tributes came in from Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Bayley, Rey Mysterio, Charlotte Flair, Jey Uso, Stephanie McMahon, and CM Punk.

Bayley (w/ Lyra Valkyria) vs Sol Ruca (w/ Zaria)

Ruca hit Bayley with the X-Factor. They fought outside the ring for a little bit before getting back in the ring. Ruca threw Bayley out of the ring and did a somersault flip over the top rope onto her. She hit Bayley with a German suplex and a DDT off the top rope. Bayley caught Ruca with a Bayley to Belly for a near fall.

Ruca blocked the Rose Plant and hit her with a Shining Wizard for a two-count. Bayley hit the Rose Plant on Ruca but Ruca got a foot on the rope. She followed it up with a back suplex. Ruca hit Sol Snatcher on Bayley but Bayley rolled out of the ring. Bayley got back in and got rolled up and pinned.

After the match, Bayley, Valkyria, Ruca, and Zaria all stood in the middle of the ring, raised each other’s arms, and gave a salute to Cena.

Winner: Sol Ruca

More video tributes for John Cena came in from Sheamus, RVD, Corey Graves, Becky Lynch, Michael Cole, Tom “Stu” Stewart, Michael Cole, and Cody Rhodes.

After the commercial break, more tributes came in from The Undertaker and The Rock.

Michele McCool, Mark Henry, Kurt Angle, Eve Torres, Trish Stratus RVD, and Sami Zayn were shown in the audience.

Michael Cole thanked Taz, JBL, Corey Graves, Jim Ross, and Jerry Lawler who called many of John Cena’s matches.

World’s Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee vs Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater

Slater and Evans hit Lee and Styles with superkicks and dove over the top rope onto them. Evans hit a frog splash on Lee. Evans missed a dive over the top rope and Styles whipped him into the guardrail. Evans hit the OG Cutter on Styles. Slater hit a Swanton on Styles for a near fall. Lee hit a dive over the top rope on Evans. Slater blocked the Styles Clash. Styles went for the phenomenal forearm but slipped on the top rope. Slater came off the top rope but Styles caught him and hit the Styles Clash for the pin.

All four participants hugged and gave a salute sign for Cena.

Winners: AJ Styles & Dragon Lee

More John Cena video tributes came in from Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, Alexa Bliss, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, The Miz, and Kane.

After the commercial breaks, they showed more John Cena video tributes from Tom Brady, Jimmy Kimmel, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Jalen Brunson, Lil Yachty, Vanessa Hudgens and Jelly Roll.

In the ring:

The Miz was in the ring. He said we are focusing on new talent while he is the person who has beaten John Cena. R-Truth came to the ring. He said he took somebody’s opportunity when he switched balls on Raw. Truth handed Miz the ball he took. Miz opened it up and the name in the ball was Joe Hendry. Hendry appeared. Hendry and Truth gave Miz the 5-Knuckle Shuffle. Hendry gave Miz the standing ovation. He went for the cover and Truth counted the pin.

They aired a music tribute video for John Cena featuring many of the WWE Superstars.

John Cena vs Gunther 

The crowd was 100% behind Cena. Gunther started in control of the match. Cena came back with two shoulder tackles and a side slam. He hit Gunther with the five knuckle shuffles. He went for the AA but Gunther reversed it into a German suplex and followed it up with a clothesline. Cena blocked the sleeper, took Gunther down, and locked him in the STFU. Gunther escaped and nailed Cena with a powerbomb.

Gunther hit Cena with two clotheslines and told Cena to get up. Cena got up and nailed him with another clothesline. He did that two more times. He tried it a third time but Cena hit him with two shoulder blocks, another five knuckle shuffle, and an AA  for a near fall. 

Gunther locked in the sleeper on Cena. Cena escaped and caught Gunther in a sleeper. Gunther made it to the ropes to force the break. They fought outside the ring. Gunther dropped him on the ring apron and threw him into the ring steps. Gunther set up the other ring steps and placed them near the announce desk. Gunther set up Cena on the steps but Cena turned it around and hit Gunther with an AA through the announce desk. 

Cena rolled Gunther back in the ring and covered him for a two-count. Cena came off the top rope with a leg drop on Gunther. Gunther kicked Cena in the head and powerbombed him for a near fall. Gunther went to the top rope. Cena caught him with an AA off the top rope for a two-count. Gunther chopped him and Cena’s chest was noticeably red. He hit Cena with a powerbomb and came off the top rope with a splash. 

Gunther caught Cena in the sleeper again. Cena almost escaped a couple of times but Gunther kept the hold locked in. Cena finally escaped and hit another AA for a near fall. Gunther locked the sleeper on Cena again and he tapped out.

Winner: Gunther

After the match, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk handed Cena their title belts and he held them up as the rest of the roster came to ringside. Cena then handed the belts back to Punk and Cody. He hugged Triple H, whom the crowd booed, and they showed a video package of Cena. Cena took off his sneakers, wristbands, and armbands and laid them in the ring.
