Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kazuchika Okada in the semifinals of the Continental Classic took place at the AEW Worlds End pay-per-view event from Chicago, Illinois.
A slow back-and-forth start to this one. Okada with a spinebuster for two then Takeshita countered a move and hit a blue thunder bomb for 2. Takeshita no sold a clothesline and landed forearm shots before Okada hit a clothesline. They traded backslide pin attempts then Okada hit a german suplex. Takeshita with a german of his own then the running knee strike for 2. As the referee wasn’t looking, Okada hit him with a screwdriver for the win to advance to the finals.
Winner: Okada
