The partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling is reportedly set to continue well into the future. According to a new report from Bodyslam.net, the working relationship between the two promotions has been extended and is expected to run until at least 2028. This update comes amidst speculation that TNA’s new television deal might hinder the collaboration.
On January 16, 2025, the two companies shocked the world by announcing a multi-year partnership to create cross-promotional opportunities. The last 12 months have seen multiple NXT superstars capture TNA Championships, while The Hardy Boyz returned to their roots to capture the NXT Tag Team Championship. Perhaps the most notable moment of the partnership occurred when Joe Hendry appeared at the 2025 Royal Rumble and later worked a match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41.
Recently, TNA Wrestling secured a broadcast deal with AMC to begin airing their weekly episodes starting January 15. Specifically, there was concern that the new TV deal might restrict TNA talent from appearing on WWE programming or vice versa.
However, TNA President Carlos Silva addressed these concerns directly after the TV deal was announced, stating that the partnership would continue in 2026. Bodyslam.net sources have now corroborated this, indicating that there is no heat between the sides and that the deal is stronger than ever.
“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that the partnership will indeed continue and is expected to continue until at least 2028,” the report states. “Both WWE and TNA are happy with how business is going and the endless opportunities for talent to learn and grow outside of their own promotion.”
While Moose recently failed in his challenge against Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship, another crossover bout is set for next week. On January 6, TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater will step into an NXT ring to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship.
