MJF is bringing his title to the indie scene. Back in December, Limitless Wrestling revealed that the “Salt of the Earth” would be making his return to the promotion at the Limitless Rumble event on Friday, January 16. Just days after this announcement, MJF captured the AEW World Championship at the Worlds End pay-per-view, adding massive stakes to his homecoming.
To kick off the new year, MJF took to social media to reveal that he will be defending his newly won title against indie standout Alec Price at the event. This will be MJF’s first match for the Maine-based promotion since September 2019, just one month before the premiere of AEW Dynamite.
MJF lost that match and the Limitless World Championship to Anthony Greene, ending his run with the company before ascending to national superstardom. Now, he returns not only as a top star but as the face of AEW
Before he steps back into a Limitless ring, the 29-year-old champion has another major hurdle to clear. MJF must first defend the AEW World Championship against Bandido at the upcoming AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage special. Fans can expect that result to have major implications for the Limitless Rumble showdown.
The Limitless Rumble is scheduled to take place at The Colisée in Lewiston, Maine.
