Damian Priest defeated Aleister Black in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown, winning an Ambulance Match to close the show. The bout was booked to settle a rivalry that has spanned the last six months.
Match Recap
The contest began with a brawl before the bell, moving immediately from the ring to the entrance ramp. Early in the match, Priest used the ambulance stretcher as a weapon against Black. The action returned to the ringside area, where Black countered a move on the apron to execute a Meteora, driving Priest through a table.
Back inside the ring, Black utilized a steel chair to target Priest’s ribs and back. Priest retaliated with a chokeslam onto the apron and a Frankensteiner from the turnbuckles. Black eventually recovered to land the “Black Mass,” temporarily incapacitating Priest.
Black placed Priest on the stretcher and wheeled him toward the ambulance, using a chair to inflict further damage during the transport. As they reached the vehicle, Zelina Vega attempted to open the ambulance doors to assist Black. However, Rhea Ripley appeared and attacked Vega, delivering a Riptide to neutralize her.
With the outside interference negated, Priest fought back using a crutch and a fire extinguisher to blind Black. Priest then threw a fireball into Black’s face. The fight migrated to the roof of the ambulance, where Priest executed a Razor’s Edge, sending Black crashing into the vehicle’s window.
Priest concluded the match by delivering a “South of Heaven” chokeslam from the top of the ambulance through a table positioned below. He then dragged Black into the vehicle and secured the doors to claim the victory.
Following the match, Corey Graves stated that the result ended the feud “once and for all,” indicating that both competitors will move on to separate storylines following this conclusion.
