AEW is bringing back its Spring BreakThru and Playoff Palooza-themed episodes in April, with one notable scheduling change: Collision will air on Thursday rather than its usual Saturday slot.
According to HBO Max’s monthly schedule release, the Spring BreakThru edition of Dynamite will take place on Wednesday, April 15 from Kent, Washington. The corresponding Spring BreakThru Collision episode will air on Thursday, April 16, a day shift that is presumably due to NHL playoff coverage on TNT occupying the usual Saturday timeslot. The Collision episode will be taped after Dynamite on April 15 and will not air live.
The Spring BreakThru concept was launched last April in Boston with back-to-back live episodes, and this year’s installment will serve as the follow-up to the Dynasty pay-per-view, which takes place on Sunday, April 12.
Playoff Palooza is also returning, with the themed Collision episode scheduled for Saturday, April 25 airing at 8:30 p.m. Eastern, slightly later than the usual timeslot. That episode will be taped in Portland, Oregon the Wednesday before its broadcast, again with the NHL playoffs on TNT cited as the likely reason for the scheduling adjustment.
Of note from the HBO Max schedule release, no Zero Hour pre-show is listed ahead of Dynasty on April 12, though this may simply be an oversight, as Dynasty itself does not appear on the schedule at all, similar to how Revolution was handled the prior month. The scheduling information is still being reviewed for accuracy as some dates appear to be shifted by a day from where they should fall.
AEW Dynamite airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on TBS, and AEW Collision airs Saturdays on TNT.
