Cuatrero, whose real name is Rogelio Reyes, has been sentenced to 12 years and eight months in prison following his domestic violence conviction against WWE star Stephanie Vaquer.
According to El Planchitas, Cuatrero has already served two years of the sentence, leaving him with 10 years and eight months remaining. However, he could potentially serve only four-plus additional years if he receives a sentence reduction for good behavior. Vaquer’s side is expected to appeal for a tougher sentence.
The domestic violence incident took place in March 2023 while Vaquer was wrestling in Mexico and in a relationship with Cuatrero. Vaquer alleged that an argument turned physical, with Cuatrero grabbing her violently by the throat and throwing her into a wall, causing an object to fall off the wall and onto her. He was arrested on charges of attempted femicide and domestic violence before being released as he awaited trial.
When the incident first occurred, some within wrestling attempted to protect Cuatrero and convince Vaquer not to go to the police. One of those individuals was said to be AAA wrestler La Hiedra, who was dating Cuatrero’s brother at the time. On International Women’s Day earlier this year, Vaquer posted a public message vowing to keep fighting for truth and justice in the case.
Cuatrero, the son of wrestling legend Cien Caras, was released from jail in 2025 after awaiting the resolution of the case and returned to the ring for independent matches this year. He was found guilty earlier this month before today’s sentencing was handed down.
