The TNA tapings at the Manhattan Center will take place on June 25, June 26, and June 27. That probably means that they’ll tape four weeks of television that week. The Manhattan center holds about 800 fans with the TV set up. It is sure to be a hot crowd but it will be interesting to see how they react to some of the talent, especially the younger talent.
Jason Powell at ProWrestling.net broke the story that the company was running these dates as a way to impress Spike TV executives since the Spike offices are based in New York City and TNA still has not reached a deal for a new TV contract. At least that is the feeling in the company and what he heard.
Dave Meltzer noted that the younger talent has been worried. TNA management and the veterans have told the newer talent that everything is okay and things are looking good and that this is just an opportunity for them to work in front of the hardcore New York fans.
