Raw starts with a video recapping last week’s show closing angle between The Shield and Evolution.
Opening segment. Daniel Bryan kicks off Raw. He looks emotional which is understandable considering his father passed away. Brie Bella is in the ring with him. Stephanie McMahon comes out. Steph said she wanted to congratulate both of them. Steph announced that Bryan will face Kane at Extreme Rules. Kane’s music hits. As Kane’s music plays she tells Kane to stay where he is because now is not the right time. Bryan and Brie retreat to outside of the ring. Kane appears behind Bryan and attacks Bryan. Kane hits a tombstone piledriver on the outside of the ring as Steph yells at him to stop. Kane then hits a tombstone on the steel steps. Steph calls for the EMTs. They put Bryan on a stretcher but Kane knocked him off of it. He ripped the neck brace off of Bryan, pulled him over to the announce table, and tombstoned him on the announcers table. Steph called Kane a bastard. Finally, Kane went to the back. It looks like an angle to give him time off for another week or at least allow him to go home early but that’s just a guess.
Back from the commercial we see Bryan on the stretcher. Brie is next to him. Steph is still in the ring. The trainers take Bryan to the back. They play a replay of Kane’s attack on Bryan. Stephanie asks the audience to give a very warm round of applause for Daniel Bryan. Switching gears…they show the Intercontinental title tournament brackets.
Bad News Barrett vs. Sheamus. Barrett gets some pyro for his entrance. He’s really over. He says he has some bad news. He said that it’s not as bad as Daniel Bryan’s news but it’s bad news. He said that the luck of the Irish runs out tonight and today is the day that Sheamus is defeated by Bad News Barrett. There was a commercial break during this match. Sheamus kicked out of Barrett’s Wind’s of Change.  Barrett missed the Bull Hammer. Sheamus hit White Noise but Barrett kicked out of that. Barrett finally won the match with the Bull Hammer elbow. He will face the winner of Cesaro vs. RVD. Very good match between Sheamus and Barrett. They aired a WWE Network commercial featuring Legends House. They showed a preview for this Thursday’s episode. Free trial ends at midnight.
Back from the break. We get the BOLIEVE vignette. They played a clip from Hugh Jackman’s Raw appearance from September 2011. Cole said that Ziggler is ready to bury the hatchet. They showed tweets with Sandow getting into it with Jackman and Ziggler so it looks like Sandow will get physical with Jackman next week. WWE App vote: Pick John Cena’s opponent tonight: Luke Harper, or Luke Harper and Erick ROawn, or Luke Harper/Erick Rowan/Bray Wyatt at the same time. The only way Cena gets his hands on Bray is if the fans vote for Cena to face all three at once.
Wyatt Family promo. Bray Wyatt cuts a promo on the stage. He said that tonight would be a wonderful night for change. He said that “they” have left the power in the fans hands. He asked if tonight is the night that Cena learns the truth…that “we stand against you.” He said that at Extreme Rules 2 monsters will enter but it won’t matter which monster has the sharpest teeth or longest claws but one thing remains the same.. “they do not love you anymore John.” Â He said “he’s got the whole world in his hands.” The fans sang with him. Boy, this was a great promo and came off like a face promo. He asked the fans to feel with him.
3MB vs. Los Matadores. They recapped the start of this feud from last week’s Main Event on the WWE Network. Hornswaggle and El Torito started the match. McIntyre tagged in and they teased that he would fight Torito. Torito gored Slater and McIntyre. Los Matadores triple teamed McIntyre and got the pin. Short match. They replaed clips from last week’s Evolution beatdown of The Shield. Backstage we see a limo arrive. Batista, Triple H, and Randy Orton come out of the limo. They’re coming to the ring next. Commercial break.
2nd Hour segment. Evolution comes to the ring. Triple H starts off his promo. His voice sounds hoarse. Orton and Batista also cut promos. They showed clips from Evolution’s first run. Batista said that they have 31 World title reigns between the 3 of them. He said “deal with that”. The Shield’s music hits. As The Shield enters the ring Evolution leaves the ring. Ambrose said that last week wasn’t the first time they’ve been beaten up. He asked Triple H “do we look humbled to you?” He said that the Shield are hungry dogs and the most ruthless, nastiest animals. Rollins said that they have every right to be angry after last week. Rollins said that Evolution talks about how powerful they are but they’re not. In 2 weeks they will come face to face with the hounds of justice. Rollins said that Batista will be looking out for himself and the same goes for Orton and Triple H. He said that Triple H will do what he always does and that’s only what’s best for the boss. Rollins said that they will rip Evolution to pieces and the reunion of Evolution will come to an abrupt halt. Reigns said that in a few seconds they will beat Evolution’s a$$. He said that they can be men and try or be creampuffs and hide. The Shield went up the ramp but then the Raw heel roster came out and stopped The Shield in their tracks. Evolutions music played as they went to commercial. Lawler asked if Evolution will always be one step ahead of the Shield. They replayed highlights of the Kane-Daniel Bryan segment that kicked off Raw. Cole said that Bryan is being examined and more updates later on Bryan. They played an Adam Rose vignette. The graphic said “coming soon” so it doesn’t look like he’s debuting tonight.
Back from the break. They showed a list of the most watched shows on the WWE Network last week. Cole said that the WWE Network is just like netflix..but better. Wow.
Rhodes Brothers vs. The Usos. Rybaxel is at ringside. They showed a clip of Jonathan and Trinity’s wedding last night from Total Divas. Ryback said on commentary that he watched Goldust when he was 13 and now he’s watching him as a 32 years old. “For an old guy he can go.” Jimmy got the pin on Cody. Cody got mad at Goldust and stormed off to the back. Rybaxel attacked the Usos. The announcers plugged Slam City. Cesaro vs. RVD is up next. Commercial break.

Layla vs. Emma. Fandango tripped up Santino on the outside and the distraction allowed Layla to get the jump start on Emma. Layla seems to have lost a step since she’s returned. Santino hit Fandango with the cobra on the outside. Emma had her own cobra for Layla and got the pin. They plugged the WWE app vote for tonight’s main event. The audience picks who John Cena faces later tonight. Commercial break.
John Cena interview with Renee. They plug Legends House and they show positive media reviews from different outlets. Renee Young interviews John Cena. He says that he’s always respected the fact that the WWE Universe has the right to do what they want. “Lets go Cena, Cena sucks” chants. He says he won’t pretend he doesn’t know whats going on. He said he’s heard the song (He’s got the whole world in his hands). He just might but at Extreme Rules the odds will be even. Tonight’s objective is simple…survive. Bray will try his best to put Cena down but Cena said never count him out. They plugged the app vote again.
Cesaro vs. Rob Van Dam. Cesaro gets new music. Much better music. Heyman cut a promo. He said that he’s the advocate for Cesaro and the advocate for the best in carnate, the beast that conquered the Undertakers undefeated streak..Brock Lesnar! As Heyman was talking they cut to break. Back from the break and Paul is still cutting his promo. “Ladies and gentlemen, please get this into your skulls, my client Brock Lesnar conquered the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania!” He repeated that line several times. Damn Paul is great again but that’s nothing new. Rob Van Dam to start the match with Cesaro. Commercial break during this match. Late in the match Cesaro hit RVD with an uppercut just as RVD was setting up for the 5 star frog splash. Â RVD did get the split leg moonsault. Cesaro was about to hit the big swing on RVD but Swagger’s music hit and distracted Cesaro. RVD advances via countout. Swagger attacked Cesaro after the match but Cesaro was able to dump him out of the ring. That left Cesaro in the ring with Zeb Colter. Cesaro was about to give Colter the swing but Swagger saved him but Cesaro did get the swing on Swagger. The IC title finals will take place in 2 weeks on Extreme Rules. They showed clips (again) from the Kane/Daniel Bryan segment that opened Raw. The storyline status is that Bryan suffered a bad stinger and they will hold him for observation. Actually, Bryan flew home to be with his family. They aired a commercial for Total Divas.
Back from the break. Renee Young interviews Rob Van Dam. Cesaro interrupts. Cesaro said that RVD could not beat him on his own. Heyman said that the RVD he knows wouldn’t take such a tainted victory. RVD told Cesaro to keep his wallet and his house away from Paul if he wants to make it.
Aksana vs. Paige is next. Paige defends against Tamina at Extreme Rules in 2 weeks. Crowd was dead for this match. Paige hit Aksana with a knee to the nose. She won the match after making Aksana submit with the modified scorpion. Last Friday, Smackdown was the most watched show on basic cable. Swagger faces Cesaro this Friday night.
Alexander Rusev (with Lana) vs. Sin Cara. This looks like another squash match. Sin Cara didn’t get entrance music. Fans were chanting for JBL in the match. Sin Cara did get some offense in but it was short lived. Rusev beat Sin Cara with the Accolade. They plugged the app vote again. Voting results to be announced next. Commercial break.
BOLIEVE vignette.
John Cena vs. the entire Wyatt Family. Lawler announced the poll results. They went to commercial break. They plugged the Best of Hall of Fame shows that will air this week on the WWE Network. Back from commercial. We get the Wyatt family’s entrance. The fans clap along with the music. The announcers said that there are a lot of Wyatt family followers out there as evidenced in the app vote. The Wyatts all jumped on Cena before the match started. The Wyatts dominated Cena. Commercial break during the match. The Wyatts continued to dominate during and after they came back from the break. Â Cena finally turned things around and did get an AA on Bray but Luke Harper broke it up. The ref called for the bell as all three Wyatts attacked Cena. Bray hit Cena with the Sister Abigail. Bray clutched Cena in his arms and said, Â “In time all things come to life…he’s got the whole world in his hands…” He continued to sing. “he’s got you and me brother in his hand…he’s got the whole world in his hands.” The show went off the air with Bray singing.
