LISTEN: Michelle Beadle says it’s pathetic for Punk to “tattle” on her to AJ Lee

Michelle Beadle was on Jim Ross’ podcast this week and she talked about a variety of subjects. She talks about ESPN, how she became a wrestling fan, working with Colin Cowherd, and she also reveals that she had talks with WWE about working there.

She also talks about the CM Punk situation from December. Michelle said that she considered Phil a friend and they’ve had dinner and texted in the past. She said that she thought he was a friend but apparently she was wrong. So, basically what happened was that she saw him at Tribute to the Troops and she said to Punk, “what up F*** face?” which is just her loving way of saying hello. She said that he was alone in a hallway and she was with WWE PR at the time. Then the next thing she knows AJ Lee is in her face yelling at her and she thought at first that it was a rib. She looked at Punk and he wouldn’t look back at her and he kept his back to her. She said that WWE was apologetic to her about it. Then the following week she saw that it got out on the internet. She said that Phil and her stopped being friends that day. She said that she thought “Phil was one of those cool guys that didn’t fall into a certain role and kind of did what he wanted but to watch all of that happen and have someone tattle on me and have their girlfriend get in my face is a little pathetic. It’s ok, i’ve moved on.”

Ross asked Beadle if she was surprised that Punk left WWE. She said that she’s not shocked that he walked but she’s shocked that he’s still gone. She thought that maybe he would show up at WrestleMania and as a fan of wrestling she does miss seeing him on TV.
