Frankie Kazarian talks about TNA’s problems, working with Eric Bischoff, Jeff Jarrett, and more

Frankie Kazarian was interviewed by Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer for Wrestling Observer radio. He talked about how many of the guys are sitting at home not getting paid because of how TNA structures their deals. Frankie said that he had a good deal because he signed his deal when Terry Taylor was with the company so he was paid whether or not he was used so money wasn’t an issue with him but it was frustrating to him sitting at home and not doing anything. He said that he’s one of those guys that loves to work.

Frankie said that Eric Bischoff was to “go to” guy for a definitive yes or no on something even though he might not have necessarily been the head of creative. He said that Eric was very receptive of ideas. Frankie said that after Eric was out then John Gaburick took over and then that’s when he noticed the lack of communication. He said that sometimes ideas were pitched and there was never a response.

Frankie noted that the boys had discussions internally about the poor attendance at house shows. He said it was upsetting to him because one time he was in a grocery store with AJ Styles in New Mexico and the guy recognized them and asked what they were doing there. Frankie said that they have a show coming up next door and the guy had no idea. That shows how horrible TNA is with promoting their house shows. Meltzer noted that he talked to someone over the weekend that had no idea that there was a show in Aberdeen. Frankie said that he’s pitched the idea of having TNA’s moving truck wrapped with TNA superstars and the logo but they said that it’s an expense they can’t afford right now. Their moving truck looks like a normal truck. He said that it’s frustrating to wrestle in front of a couple hundred people and embarrassing to the boys.
