We noted the poor house show attendance numbers over the weekend. The 6/6 house show did just 200 fans in Bowie, Maryland. That show was headlined by James Storm vs. Ken Anderson.
The 6/7 show in Salisbury, Maryland drew 800 people with the same main event.
The 6/8 show drew just 225 fans at Cal Ripken Stadium. The stadium can hold 6,300 people and their minor league team always sells out the stadium. That was the Abderdeen show. You can see photos from that show by clicking here. The main event for that show was Samoa Joe defeating Bobby Lashley.
Frankie Kazarian, who is no longer with the company, noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he was with AJ Styles in New Mexico at a grocery store and a fan recognized them and asked them what they were doing in town. When they mentioned that they had a show going on next door the fan had no idea because there was no promotion in the area to let fans know.
Also, just for comparison, Tommy Dreamer’s House of Hardcore which doesn’t have a national television outlet, drew 1,200 fans on 6/6 in Poughkeepsie, NY and 1,200 fans in Philadelphia, PA. Those are great crowds for an independent show.
