Aaron Solo Gets A Face Full Of Arby’s Curly Fries During REVOLVER Title Defense

Aaron Solo had his face smashed into a pile of Arby’s curly fries during a West Coast Pro Tag Team Championship defense at Wrestling REVOLVER’s Tales From The Ring IX on Friday, then used the Arby’s bag to help win the match.

The show took place October 2 at the Calumet Center in Dayton, Ohio, and streamed on REVOLVER’s YouTube channel. REVOLVER posted the spot on X. Solo and Alan Angels retained the titles in a four-way against The Production (Derek Dillinger and Katie Arquette), Latinos Most Wanted (Koda Hernandez and Sabin Gauge) and Alpha Sig (Dick Meyers and KC Jacobs). Commentary noted it was Solo’s REVOLVER debut.

Solo pulled an Arby’s bag from under the ring and put curly fry “rings” on Arquette in a mock proposal before she punched him. Dillinger later smashed Solo’s face into fries scattered on the mat. Solo put the bag over Arquette’s head. Angels then hit her with his Halo Strike spin kick, and Solo pinned her for the win at 12:42.

Where “Arby’s, Huh?” Came From

The bit comes from a story Cody Rhodes told in July on his podcast with WWE’s Fallon Henley as his guest. Before signing with WWE, Henley worked as an extra in AEW under the name Tesha Price, when Rhodes was still with the company. Rhodes said Henley walked in with a group of friends carrying Arby’s, and Solo followed them to the elevator to make his move. All he managed was, “Arby’s, huh?”

“He shot his shot, I suppose, and that was it,” Rhodes said. Solo answered on X with a correction: “It was Rally’s.” Arby’s joined in days later.

Henley later shared a gift box Arby’s had sent her, with a letter that read, “We are honored to be a part of a pickup line, even if it didn’t work. Instead go pick up some of your Arby’s favs – on us.”

Solo In AEW

Solo debuted for AEW on Dark in the summer of 2020. He later aligned with the Nightmare Family before turning heel alongside QT Marshall in The Factory, and later teamed with Marshall and Johnny TV in QTV. He is still on AEW’s roster.

Outside AEW, Solo and Alan Angels have held the West Coast Pro Tag Team Championships since March.
