Absent AEW Star Was Backstage At Dynamite

It appears AEW will be getting back one star who has been on the sidelines due to injury soon.

Bandido has been sidelined as he went down with an injury while working a match that aired in June 2023 on a Rampage episode in a loss to Konosuke Takeshita in a singles match. It was a wrist injury that put him on the shelf, but he had to face some hurdles along the way.

Bandido was given the diagnosis of a triangular fibrocartilage complex injury at first. However, Bandido wanted to get a second opinion and did so before having the surgery the following month.

Bandido had reportedly been getting close to making an in-ring return until his return was pushed back because the injury didn’t heal properly, and Bandido needed to get another surgery. The original hope was he would be back in April. Things took longer, with a previous update in August noting he hadn’t been cleared, but he should be soon.

Ibou of WrestlePurists reports Bandido was backstage at AEW Dynamite this week and reportedly told people he was ready to go.
