MVP has announced that The Hurt Syndicate is set to return to action in AEW in the near future, confirming that he, Bobby Lashley, and Shelton Benjamin are back together and ready to resume operations.
Taking to X, MVP delivered a straightforward update on the group’s status. “The coolest thing is that we are back together in AEW and we’ll be back in action soon! Hurting people! #wehurtpeople #fashionablyviolent,” MVP wrote.
The announcement comes after an extended period of inactivity for the trio as a unit. The Hurt Syndicate last competed as a team in October, and both Lashley and Benjamin have had separate extended absences from AEW television since then.
Lashley’s most recent in-ring appearance was at the 2025 Full Gear pay-per-view, where he participated in the Casino Gauntlet match that crowned the first-ever AEW National Champion. Benjamin has been out of action even longer, with his last match coming on the January 7 edition of AEW Dynamite, a loss to Jon Moxley.
Their return to action will give a boost to AEW’s tag team division. No specific date or opponent for The Hurt Syndicate’s return has been announced at this time.
In the meantime, AEW moves forward with a new episode of Dynamite tonight at 8 p.m. EST on TBS and can also be streamed on Max, Fubo TV, DirecTV, Sling TV, Hulu Plus Live TV, and YouTube TV. Here is the card:
- MJF vs. Kenny Omega contract signing for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty
