Ace Steel was not expecting to get fired by AEW

Ace Steel is no longer with AEW after his involvement in the backstage fight at AEW All Out, along with CM Punk, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks.

Steel allegedly threw a chair and bit Omega during the fight. Everyone involved in the altercation has been suspended and cannot publicly comment or mention the situation due to an ongoing third-party investigation.

As previously reported, Steel was released by AEW earlier this week.

Dave Meltzer responded to a user on F4Wonline.com who mentioned, “It has been about a week since Ace Steel tweeted “Freedom” by the Blues Brothers Sounds like he was told he was being let go, but the news got out today.”

Meltzer noted that Steel thought he wasn’t going to be let go. He wrote, “Nope, he actually thought the opposite and was surprised.”

Steel joined the promotion earlier this year as a producer and later appeared on television as part of the build-up to All Out, where he did a promo on Punk to fire him up about facing Jon Moxley at All Out.
