Adam Cole Dealing With Health Issues, Will Be Gone For A While

A scheduled TNT Championship match at AEW All In: Texas was changed after it was announced that champion Adam Cole was not medically cleared to compete. As a result, Cole has been forced to vacate the title.

The announcement was made by AEW President Tony Khan before the show. Cole had been scheduled to defend the championship against Kyle Fletcher. A new champion will now be crowned tonight in a four-way match between Kyle Fletcher, Dustin Rhodes, Sammy Guevara, and Daniel Garcia.

Before the new championship match began, an emotional Adam Cole came to the ring to address the fans at Globe Life Field. He confirmed he is dealing with some health issues and will be gone for a while. While stating he did not want to talk about retirement, he said that if this was goodbye, he wanted to thank the fans for supporting his dream since he was nine years old. We wish him a speedy recovery.
