The Buy-In

The first 30 minutes was consisted of footage from the Countdown show that aired on TNT after Rampage on Friday night.

10-Man Tag Team Match
Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, Wheeler Yuta, and Jurassic Express vs. Matt Hardy, Private Party, and TH2

Chuck Taylor and Matt Hardy started the match but Taylor quickly tagged out to Wheeler Yuta. Hardy demanded Orange Cassidy and he tagged in briefly but then Luchasaurus tagged in and Hardy tagged out to Jack Evans. Jungle Boy tagged in and hit a flurry off offense and then it was Yuta and Isiah Kassidy in the ring. About 5 minutes in the match pace picked up with everyone tagging in and out at various times to hit different moves. Late in the match, Private Party hit Gin and Juice and Angelico went for a pin that was broken up by Cassidy. Cassidy hit a sequence of moves with his hands in his pockets but Hardy snuck up and hit the Twist of Fate. Cassidy was knocked out of the ring and Jungle Boy tagged in to take out Private Party and H20. There was a game of chicken with Jungle Boy and Evans on their partner’s shoulder and both men trading punches. The Blade tried to interfere but he was taken out by a crossbody by Marko Stunt and Jungle Boy forced Angelico to tap out. The HFO attacked the heels after the match and The Butcher made his return to join them by attacking Orange Cassidy. The Varsity Blonds, Dante Martin, members of Dark Order and other babyfaces ran out to the ring to run the heels out of the ring before Evans could cut off Cassidy’s hair.

They aired a commercial for “Rhodes To The Top.”

Dan Lambert cut a promo from a luxury box. Andrei Arlovski, Jorge Masvidal, Junior Dos Santos, Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky were with him. Page and Sky also talked and said that the roster knows that the Men of the Year are extremely dangerous men but sometimes you have to take it to the next level. They said that they will step out of the comfort zone and into the danger zone with American Top Team. Lambert said that his men are just waiting on instructions on when to kick ass.

Main Card

TNT Championship Match
Miro vs. Eddie Kingston

Kingston started out with chops to the chest and an exploder suplex. The action spilled to ringside and Kingston went for a crossbody but Miro countered into a powerslam on the floor. Miro followed up by ramming Kingston’s back into the ring post.

Miro continued to dominate for several minutes but Kingston tried to fight back with chops and a jumping kick to the side of the head and a Saito suplex. Both men traded forearms and chops in the center of the ring and Kingston hit two consecutive Saito suplexes into a pin attempt.

Kingston tried for the spinning back fist but Miro slid out of the ring but then Kingston hit an elbow suicida through the ropes. Kingston hit a fisherman suplex into another pin attempt but Miro kicked out. Miro came back with a German suplex and Kingston puled out the turnbuckle pad in the process. Miro hit Kingston with a kick to the face and then he locked in the Game Over submission but Kingston made it to the bottom rope.

Kingston hit the spinning backfist and DDT but the ref Bryce Remsburg was slow to get down because he was fixing the turnbuckle and Miro was able to kick out. Kingston tried to ram Miro into the exposed buckle but the ref stopped him and then Miro hit a mule kick, a kick to the face and then the pin for the win to retain the title.

Jon Moxley vs. Satoshi Kojima

The match started out with Kojima hitting a shoulder block and then hitting a dive onto Moxley after Moxley rolled out of the ring. Moments later, Moxley got the upper hand and he hit a dive through the ropes onto Kojima. He followed up with chops in the corner of the ring.

Kojima fought back and hit machine gun chops in the corner. They did a spot with Kojima biting the forehead as Moxley sat on the top rope. Kojima then followed up with a super plex. Moments later, Mox locked in a rear naked choke and then followed up with a slam and cross arm breaker.

Mox tried a Paradigm Shift but Kojima countered into a brainbuster and pin pattempt. Mox fought back and hit a fisherman suplex and forearm shots to the chest. Kojima and Mox both hit a forearm shot and Mox hit a high knee to the face but Kojima hit a lariat and Koji Cutter and was not able to make the pin. Both men traded punches and forearms. Mox hit a clothesline into a pin attempt.

Mox locked in the bulldog choke but Kojima got his foot on the bottom rope. Kojima fought back with Mongolian chops, Mox with a head butt and then the Paradigm shift. Mox hit a second one and then pinned Kojima for the win.

After the match, Minoru Suzuki’s music played. He walked out to the ring and they traded punches. Suzuki hit a forearm and Mox hit a King Kong lariat but Suzuki no-sold it. Suzuki locked in the rear naked choke, followed by the Gotch style piledriver to leave Mox laying.

AEW World Women’s Championship Match
Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. Kris Statlander

Statlander got in some of the early offense until Baker kicked her in the stomach. Statlander hit a back elbow and then a mule kick from the top rope. Baker picked Statlander off the top and then hit a fisherman neck breaker.

Baker hit a suplex and elbow strikes to the right shoulder to wear down Statlander but Statlander fought back with back elbows and strikes and chops in the corner of the ring. Statlander hit a running elbow strike and a knee in the corner. Baker came back with a slingblade. Statlander came back with an inside hook falcon arrow into a pin attempt.

Baker fought back also got the pin after hitting a DDT. Statlander fought back with a kick and Big Bang Theory attempt but Baker rolled into a pin attempt. Baker then hit a flatliner into the turnbuckle. Statlander fought back and hit a super plex off the top rope. Statlander tried the area 451 splash off the top but Baker moved and then locked in the lock jaw but Statlander rolled out of it  and then slammed Baker face first. Statlander hit a scissor kick and then got a close near fall.

Outside the ring, Statlander tried a pendulum moonsault but Baker moved out of the ring and then hit the curb stomp on the floor.  Orange Cassidy yelled for Statlander to get in the ring. This gave Statlander a second wind and she locked in a submission but Baker broke free with up kicks to the face. Baker shoved the ref as the ref told her to back off as she hit Statlander with kicks in the corner of the ring. Statlander hit the Pittsburgh Sunrise and the stomp but Statlander kicked out. Baker then locked in the lock jaw to make Statlander submit.

Alex Marvez interviewed Andrade El Idolo. Andrade questioned Chavo and asked if Chavo canceled PAC’s flight to Chicago. Andrade said he will pay for PAC to get to Rampage on Friday where their match will happen.

AEW Tag Team Championship – Steel Cage Match
The Young Bucks vs. Lucha Bros

The match started with a face off in the center of the ring. Both teams traded punches and The Bucks tried to run up the cage early but they were dropkicked into the side of the cage. The announcers reminded the fans watching that the match only ends with a pinfall or submission. Lucha Bros hit stereo kicks on Nick and Matt in opposrite corners.

A lot of fast paced offense to start the match, including a hurricanrana off the ropes onto Nick from Fenix. Penta also hit a drop kick off the top into Matt’s mid section. The Bucks took over on offense when the Lucha Bros both crashed into the steel cage at the same time. Matt hit a powerbomb on Fenix into the steel cage and Nick hit a kick to Penta’s head.

Matt got his hands on a chain and used it to choke Fenix. Fenix countered a powerbomb into the cage and then Penta hit a flurry of offense on Matt, including a backstabber off the ropes.  The Lucha Brothers hit a flurry of offense until Nick hit a cutter. Penta hit a cutter on Nick and Matt hit a stunner on him off the top. Penta came back with a double cutter. Penta went for a pin after hitting a cradle slam.

Fenix got shoved off the top and into the cage and this allowed Nick and Matt to take over the match. Nick hit an assisted senton on Pentagon into a near fall and then the Bucks hit a double super kick on Fenix. They went for a BTE trigger but Fenix moved they hit their own knees. Matt hit low blows on both Penta and Fenix to regain control of the match. Nick and Matt tried to rip the masks off. The Bucks then lawndarted Fenix into the steel cage and Cutler threw a bag over the top of the cage.  Matt pulled out a shoe with tacks on the bottom of it and he put it on. Matt was about to hit Fenix in the head with but Fenix protected his brother and Penta took the kick to the face.

Nick then shoved Penta’s face into the tacked shoe and then Nick hit a running knee. Penta’s face was covered in blood. The Bucks hit the BTE trigger but Fenix broke up the pin attempt. Matt tried to use the shoe again but Fenix broke free and hit a series of crazy moves. Fenix then used the tacked shoe on Nick and Matt and then a blackfire driver into a close pin. Both teams delivered package piledrivers and then Penta and Matt fought in the ring as Nick and Fenix laid outside of the ring ropes. Penta hit Canadian Destroyer off the top rope onto Matt.

As they struggled to their feet, all four men traded chops and then superkick. The sequence ended with a huge crowd reaction after all four men were laid out at the same time. Fenix went to the top of the cage to hit a move but Nick Jackson caught up to him but then fell off. Fenix then hit a crossbody off the top on to Matt and Nick. a cradle piledriver and pin won the titles for the Lucha Bros.

Women’s Casino Battle Royale
Competitors announced so far: Big Swole, The Bunny, Thunder Rosa, Red Velvet, Tay Conti, Penelope Ford, Diamante, Nyla Rose, Hikaru Shida, Emi Sakura, Jade Cargill, Kiera Hogan, Abadon, Kilynn King, Lelya Hirsch, Rebel, Jami Hayter, Anna Jay, Riho, a surprise entrant, Skye Blue

Blue was the first one to be eliminated by Abadon and then The Bunny eliminated Abadon. There was an impressive spot in the match with Cargill press slamming Leyla Hirsch onto referees on the floor.

Ruby Soho was the surprise entrant. She was in the final 3 with Nyla Rose and Thunder Rosa. Rosa eliminated Rose and it was down to Rosa and Soho as the final 2 left in the match. They traded chops to the chest. Rosa then hit uppercuts and more chops. Rosa hit an elbow strike but then Soho hit one and Rosa fought back with her own strike. They ended up by the ropes.

Both women fought on the ring apron but a kick to Rosa’s head knocked Rosa off and Soho won the match.

If Jericho loses, he will not wrestle in AEW again
Chris Jericho vs. MJF

MJF’s entrance started with a tease that it was Jericho coming out because they played a version of the countdown clock that was shown for Jericho’s WWE debut. Jericho had a live rendition of his theme played by Billy Grey from Fozzy.

Early in the match, Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho but MJF countered into a pin attempt. The match then spilled into the crowd and then back to ringside. Jericho took a stantion tossed it on MJF’s head. Jericho then followed up with a springboard dropkick.

MJF took control of the match after he countered a baseball slide. Jericho came back with a suplex and elbows and chops to the face and chest. Jericho then hit a bulldog and a backbreaker into a pin attempt. MJF hit a double stomp to the left arm and then tossed Jericho onto his head in the corner of the ring. MJF continued to work on Jericho’s arm. MJF also hit a heat seeker on the ring apron and that knocked Jericho to the floor. Jericho barely made it back in before the count of 10. MJF tried an Asai moonsault but Jericho countered and slammed MJF’s back on the apron.

Both men stood up and traded blows to the head and body. Jericho then went for a move off the top but MJF countered into a jawbreaker and a pin attempt. Jericho hit a lionsault and then tried to pin but MJF kicked out. Jericho hit several arm shots to the body in the corner and then he punched MJF in the corner before trying a hurricanrana that MJF countered into a slam off the top.

Moments later, Jericho hit a codebreaker off the second rope and almost scored the pinfall. Wardlow walked out to the ring but then Jake Hager ran out to take him out. Referees ran out as Hager and Wardlow brawled to the backstage area. During all of this, MJF grabbed the bat and hit Jericho in the head with it. MJF hit the Judas Effect and pinned Jericho but Aubrey Edwards did not see Jericho putting his foot on the bottom rope. A second referee went out to tell Aubrey what happened.

Aubrey restarted the match and Jericho went for a roll up, MJF kicked out and then locked in the armbar submission. Jericho countered into a pin attempt and then the Walls of Jericho. MJF tapped out. The Inner Circle walked to the ring to celebrate with Jericho.

CM Punk vs. Darby Allin

Punk is now wearing long tights and he was in great shape. The match started with a lock up and Allin executing an arm drag. Punk grabbed a side headlock and hit the ropes before hitting Allin with a shoulder block. Allin got Punk into a hammerlock into a roll up and pin attempt. Punk fought back with a back elbow and a slam and pin attempt.

Punk tried early for a GTS but Allin slipped out and rolled out to ringside. Allin turned things around with coffin splashes into the corner but Punk tossed Allin through the ropes and into the ring post. Later in the match, Allin slid out of the abdominal stretch into a stunner.

Allin hit a flurry of offense along with palm strikes to the face and a Code Red into a pin attempt. Allin tried a move off the top but Punk caught him and tried a suplex off the top but Allin countered and landed on Punk and then he tried to pin him. Punk bridged out of another pin attempt and then he hit the GTS but Allin fell through the ropes. Allin got back in the ring before the 10 count.

Punk hit several strikes to the body and a knee to the face, followed by a roundhouse clothesline. Punk signaled that he would hit GTS but Allin crumbled to the mat. Punk picked him up and for the GTS but Allin hit elbows to the head and jaw. arby then followed up with a dive through the ropes that knocked Punk to the floor. Allin followed up with a swanton onto Punk from the top to the floor. Allin went for the coffin drop but Punk sat up but then Allin rolled him up and Punk rolled into a standing position into a GTS attempt. Allin slipped out and rolled up Punk for a near fall. Punk then hit a standing leg lariat. Allin tried a poison rana but Punk hit the GTS for the win.

Sting walked out to shake Sting’s hand and to help Allin but Allin wanted to get up on his own. Punk and Allin shook hands.

Paul Wight vs. QT Marshall

Marshall had Aaron Solow and Nick Comoroto in his corner. They were sent over the top by Wight and then the match got started.

Wight hit chops to the chest in the corner and then he put his entire body weight on his back. Marshall came back with a dropkick to the hip and punches to the head. Wight sent Marshall out of the ring as he kicked out of a pin attempt.

Marshall ran back in and tried a diamond cutter but Wight shoved him off. Wight also chopped Solow and punched Comoroto before hitting a shoulder block. Mashall tried a move off the top but Wight caught him and hit a chokeslam.

Minoru Suzuki vs. Jon Moxley announced for Dynamite on Wednesday in Cincinnati. Also, Ruby Soho will appear and Dustin Rhodes will take on Malakai Black.

There was a backstage promo from Malakai Black.

AEW World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kenny Omega vs. Christian Cage

Omega started the match by charging at Christian but Christian moved and almost hit the Killswitch. They fought outside of the ring and Chritian hit a dive off the top onto Omega on the floor. Omega came back and he set up a table on Christian’s body on the ring floor. Omega ran from the ring apron and hit a double stomp that broke the table over Christian’s body.

Back in the ring, Christian hit chops to the chest and then a Texas Cloverleaf attempt but Omega broke free and hit a clothesline and a pin attempt. Omega continued the offense with an attack in the corner and by slamming Christian on his back. Omega hit more chops and punches in the corner and then he pushed Christian off the top rope to the floor.

Omega tried a moonsault off the barricade but he slipped. He tried it again and hit it on Christian on the floor. The match moved back into the ring and Christian fought back with right hands but Omega sent him into the turnbuckle. Omega then followed up with an UshiGoroshi into a pin attempt. Christian fought back and hit a hurricanrana off the top but he was too hurt to make a cover.

Christian hit punches in the orner and Omega tried the One Winged Angel but Christian countered and resumed the punches in th corner. Christian tried for the cloverleaf submission but Omega broke free but Christian hit the back first DDt into a pin attempt. Christian charaged and Omega hit a knee strike to the chin. Christian fought back with a swinging DDT into a pin attempt. Omega fought back with elbow strikes to the back and a leg lariat and a v-trigger. Omega hit two snap dragon suplexes. Christian flipped him off and so Omega hit another one and then a v-trigger. Omega tried to hit a German suplex off the apron through a table that was set up earlier but Christian fought back and he attmpted a Killswitch but Christian slid out. Christian then speared Omega through the table at ringside.

Both men made it back to the ring before the 10 count and Christian speared Omega in the back and then followed up with a regular spear but Omega kicked out of the pin attempt. Chritian hit a splash but Omega got the knees up. Omega hit several knees to the face. Christian fought back and countered into the cloverleaf but Don Callis called out The Good Brothers but Christian fought them off. Christian hit the killswitch but Omega kicked out of the pin attempt.

Callis got in the ring and the distraction allowed Omega to recover. Christian tried the killswitch off the top but Omega gouged the eyes and then he hit One Winged Angel off the top to win the match. The rest of The Elite walked out to celebrate with Omega. They attacked Christian and Jurassic Express ran out but they were outnumbered.

Omega grabbed the mic and said that no one is on his level and when it comes to the AEW belt, the only people that would ever have a chance to win it are not in AEW or they are already tired or dead. The lights went out…

Adam Cole walked out and superkicked Jungle Boy. Cole then hugged The Elite. Cole grabbed the mic and said The Elite is the most dominant faction in the business and there is no chance in hell that someone could stop them. Omega said that is a happy ending and he bid everyone adieu.

The lights went out again…Bryan Danielson showed up and a brawl broke out with Danielson on the babyface side taking out The Elite with the help of Jurassic Express and Christian.
