AEW Announces Match For Christmas Day Collision

A new match has been officially announced for the special Christmas Day edition of AEW Collision, set to air this Thursday, December 25. AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, collectively known as The Babes of Wrath, will step into the ring to face the team of Hyan and Maya World in a non-title contest.

The announcement was made by commentator Tony Schiavone during Saturday’s broadcast of AEW Collision: Holiday Bash. The match is scheduled to be taped tomorrow, Sunday, December 21, at the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. This taping marks the second consecutive night of AEW action at the legendary venue, following the taping of Wednesday Night Dynamite earlier in the weekend.

For Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale, this bout serves as a critical tune-up before their title defense at the upcoming Worlds End pay-per-view. The champions are preparing for perhaps their toughest challenge yet, as they are scheduled to put their gold on the line against the super team of TBS Champion Mercedes Moné and ROH Women’s World Champion Athena on Saturday, December 27.

Hyan and Maya World are looking to play the role of spoilers or, at the very least, make a significant impression against the champions. This match marks their return to AEW television for the first time since the November 15 episode of Collision. In their last outing, they suffered a defeat at the hands of Riho and Alex Windsor.
