AEW Avoids Head-To-Head Clash With WWE Survivor Series

AEW Collision is making a temporary move from its usual Saturday night timeslot this November. The program is scheduled to air on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, at 8 p.m. ET. This change was confirmed in a Warner Bros. Discovery press release detailing the network’s November 2025 programming schedule.

The primary reason for this rescheduling appears to be the avoidance of a direct broadcast conflict with a major WWE event. WWE’s Survivor Series Premium Live Event is scheduled for Saturday, November 29, the night Collision would typically air. By moving Collision to Thanksgiving Day, AEW ensures the show will not go head-to-head with Survivor Series.

This move comes after AEW experienced low viewership numbers when Collision aired directly opposite WWE Premium Live Events earlier in 2025. On February 1, when Collision ran against the WWE Royal Rumble, the show averaged only 197,000 viewers and a 0.04 rating in the key P18-49 demographic, which was noted as the lowest demo rating for a Saturday 8 p.m. broadcast up to that point. Similarly, the March 1 episode, airing opposite WWE Elimination Chamber, drew 280,000 viewers and a 0.06 demo rating.

Moving Collision to Thanksgiving Day avoids the direct competition that proved detrimental to its ratings earlier in the year. Thanksgiving is traditionally a strong night for television viewing, although it also presents competition from holiday specials and NFL football. AEW Collision is currently building towards the Full Gear pay-per-view event scheduled for November 22 in Newark, New Jersey. The Thanksgiving episode will likely feature fallout from Full Gear and begin setting the stage for AEW’s December pay-per-view, Worlds End.
