AEW Blood & Guts To Have Expanded Runtime

AEW’s upcoming Blood & Guts special is reportedly scheduled to receive extra time. According to a report from Fightful Select, the special is listed for 2.5 hours on Canada’s TSN network. An AEW source indicated that this will be an expanded episode of AEW Dynamite.

Original Plans Changed

The report also noted that the card for Blood & Guts changed from the original plans due to an injury to Penelope Ford. While not officially confirmed by anyone in AEW, it was implied that the now-stacked roster for the event could have been a pivot to add more buzz to the show following the change.

Blood & Guts Card

The 2025 Blood & Guts special will take place on November 12, 2025, from the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event will air live as a special episode of AEW Dynamite, simulcast on TBS and HBO Max. This will be the fifth annual Blood & Guts event and the first to be held in the autumn, as previous shows were held in the summer.

First-Ever Women’s Blood & Guts

The show will feature the first-ever women’s Blood and Guts match in AEW history. The six-on-six match will see Jamie Hayter, Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, “Timeless” Toni Storm, and Kris Statlander face the team of Triangle of Madness (Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and Thekla), Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and Mercedes Moné.

Men’s Blood & Guts Match

A men’s Blood and Guts match is also scheduled. This bout will feature Darby Allin, Roderick Strong, and The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O’Reilly) taking on the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and Pac).

The build-up to the historic women’s match has been ongoing for weeks. Jamie Hayter and Queen Aminata had been feuding with Triangle of Madness. Following a brawl on the September 27 episode of Collision, Hayter and Aminata challenged the group to the match. The match was made official on September 30, with the remaining teammates for both sides being revealed on November 1.
