AEW Collision Spoilers: Former World Champion Returns, Several Title Matches

AEW Collision was taped Wednesday night in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, following Dynamite and will air Thursday, April 2. The show featured a surprise return as former AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida answered Willow Nightingale’s TBS Championship open challenge, marking her first AEW television appearance after an extended absence.

Shida’s return had been anticipated, given reports that her visa issues had been resolved, though AEW had been said to have no creative plans for her as recently as this week. Despite the return, Nightingale retained the TBS Championship by pinning Shida in the open challenge match.

In other action, AEW Tag Team Champions FTR defeated enhancement talent Mo Jabai and London Lightning, but the post-match told the bigger story. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage laid out security and attacked the champions, attempting to deliver a Conchairto to Cash Wheeler before security again intervened and was laid out for their efforts.

Will Ospreay continued his pursuit of Jon Moxley, attacking the Continental Champion following Moxley’s victory over Anthony Bowens. Ospreay retrieved a chair but the Death Riders pulled Moxley to safety before further damage could be done, setting the stage for their Dynasty bout.

Tommaso Ciampa pinned Juice Robinson, AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions Megan Bayne and Lena Kross defeated Ava Lawless and Kristara, and Mark Davis and Andrade El Idolo defeated The Rascalz. The show closed with an eight-man Tornado Tag match in which Mistico, Kevin Knight, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong defeated David Finlay, Clark Connors, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta.
