AEW Collision Won’t Have To Face WWE SummerSlam Competition

Anytime AEW has gone up against WWE Premium Live Events, it’s been a tough uphill battle. However, at a time when AEW has started to pick up some momentum, they received good news.

The August 3 episode of Collision will be on the same day as WWE SummerSlam from Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, OH. When AEW Collision had to go head-to-head with WWE’s Money in the Bank, it drew 306,000 viewers and 0.08 in the 18-49 demographic.

The TNT schedule lists a 5 p.m. ET start time for the August 3rd Collision, while SummerSlam is set to begin at 7 p.m. Collision usually airs at 8 p.m. ET.

Matches on tap for this Saturday’s Collision include The Patriarchy’s Christian Cage, Killswitch & Nick Wayne vs. The Bang Bang Gang’s Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn & Colten Gunn in an AEW Unified Trios Championship match, Deonna Purrazzo vs. Thunder Rosa in a Lumberjack match, Holo.grm’s debut, Skye Blue vs. Hikaru Shida, and Darby Allin vs. The Beast Mortos.
