All Elite Wrestling has confirmed that former WWE NXT star Taynara Conti will be wrestling in the AEW World Tag Team Cup Tournament. The tournament kicks off tonight at 7 pm eastern on AEW’s official YouTube channel.
Conti’s name was first mentioned by Chris Jericho during his “Saturday Night Special” and he noted that she would be teaming with Anna Jay against Nyla Rose and Ariane Andrew (aka former WWE star Cameron). Vickie Guerrero will be there as Rose’s manager.
Not much is known about the tournament other than the teams are randomly paired together.
Conti was one of many people in WWE who were released in April. Her release came just a few months after she tried to leave the company because she was unhappy with her spot in the company.
