A brand-new AEW project appears to be in the works with Adult Swim. The partnership between the wrestling promotion and the Cartoon Network programming block appears to be expanding into animation. Recently, writer and producer Nick Collins shared an update on his official LinkedIn page regarding an upcoming collaboration between the two entities.
“Excited to share that I’m writing and producing a new animated project with Adult Swim x All Elite Wrestling,” Collins wrote.
The currently untitled project is being written by Collins and is reportedly based on a story provided by Collins himself, alongside Micah Stahl. According to the update, the project will feature characters from Tony Khan’s AEW roster, suggesting that fans may soon see animated versions of their favorite wrestlers. This development marks a significant step in AEW’s content strategy, leveraging its relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery to explore new media formats outside of the traditional wrestling ring.
While currently working as a writer and producer for Adult Swim, Collins was previously employed by WWE from April 2025 to September 2025. During his six-month tenure with the sports entertainment giant, he worked directly within the creative department under the leadership of Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque. His move to this AEW-centric project highlights the crossover of creative talent within the industry.
AEW has a long-standing history of collaboration with Adult Swim, as both fall under the Warner Bros. Discovery umbrella. The two brands have crossed paths on multiple occasions, most notably when the hit animated series Rick & Morty sponsored an episode of AEW Dynamite. That integration featured special entrances and themed merchandise, showcasing the synergy between the wrestling audience and Adult Swim’s demographic. Additionally, an “AEW x Adult Swim Battle For The Booty” event took place at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, 2024, further cementing the partnership.
