AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada vs Konosuke Takeshita took place at the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event from Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
It was all Okada in the early going with Don Callis on commentary. Takeshita fired back with a series of belly-to-belly suplexes. Takeshita went for a back splash off the top rope and Okada put up the knees. Takeshita with a jumping knee to Okada. Takeshita with a piledriver then right into a german suplex. Okada popped right up and hit a clothesline. They traded shots on the apron then Okada hit the rainmaker. Back in the ring, Takeshita caught him with a big boot then hit a superplex off the top rope then went for another suplex, but Okada blocked. They did an exchange and Takeshita hit a german suplex for 2. Okada blocked a running knee and hit a tombstone piledriver. Takeshita with blue thunder bomb only for Okada to hit a suplex of his own. Takeshita with a rainmaker only for Okada to hit him with a drop kick. Takeshita no sold it and hit a jumping knee for 1! Takeshita with raging fire for the win.
Winner: Takeshita
After the match, some members of The Don Callis Family came out to confront Takeshita. Kyle Fletcher came out to the ring with the Don Callis Family, getting out of the ring. Fletcher then turned and laid out Takeshita. Kyle stood tall with the title and then hit Takeshita with it.
