Darby Allin defended the World Title against MJF in a title vs. hair match at the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event from Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
Allin went for an outside dive, but his heels clipped the ropes and he landed badly on his neck. MJF targeted the neck of Allin. Allin reversed a move and tossed him off the middle rope and hit a stunner. Allin with a dive through the ropes to take out MJF. Allin went for the coffin drop, but MJF moved and he ate the ring apron. MJF with a piledriver on the ring steps. MJF with a diving stomp to the arm of Allin. Allin with the sharpshooter on MJF, who got out of it. Allin went for the coffin drop, but MJF put the knees up. Allin reversed the heat seeker and hit a scorpion death drop. They did a series of pin attempts with cradles. Allin went for a dive outside the ring, but MJF pulled the cameraman in the way and took him out. MJF put Allin in a barbers chair and was going to shave him. Allin stopped him and put him in a face lock. Allin put MJF on the table and did coffin drop off the top of the stage. Allin was bleeding from the back of his head. Allin passed out while having him in the sharpshooter. Allin with the death drop then went for the coffin drop. However, MJF knocked him down and hit a tombstone off the middle rope then did the side takeover pinfall.
Winner: MJF – NEW Champion
Post-match, Kevin Knight ran off MJF from ringside only to jump off the top rope and hit a dive onto Allin, who was on a stretcher.
