This match was the first part of Kenny Omega's plan to bring Joshi to AEW. The colorful characters and the unique style of Stardom and similar promotions were on display in this match. It looked as though Aja Kong was just going to tear through everyone. In the midst of high flying moves from her opponents, Kong delivered a vicious looking piledriver and spinning back fist throughout this match. Unfortunately, her spinning back fist missed and hit her teammate Emi Sakura. Kong was then taken out of the match, which allowed Hikaru Shida to pick up the win after a Shining Wizard.

Winners: Hikaru Shida, Riho Abe, and Ryo Mizunami

In the closing moments of the match, it looked as though Sakura had pinned Shida, only Shida had her shoulder up at two. The ref didn't count 3, but the bell sounded, and music briefly played. This led to a 'you f--ed up chant' from the live crowd.
