AEW TNT Champion Adam Copeland vs. Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match took place at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
They tried using weapons right out of the gate before Adam got the better of him. Black was busted open. He tried to send Adam into the corner and did, leading to Copeland being busted open. Black grabbed a baseball bat that was wrapped in barbed wire and tried to hit him in the head. Copeland hit him in the gut instead. Black knocked Copeland off the top rope before Black sent him crashing through a table with a sunset flip powerbomb. Adam put him on a table then put barbed wire on him and went to the top of the cage. Adam with an elbow drop to Black. Black tried to stab him with a piece of table, but missed. They brawled out of the cage. Buddy Matthews and Brody King teased aligning with Copeland, but turned on him. The lights turned red with Gangrel coming through the mat and attacking them. Black laid him out before Copeland speared Black with barbed wire around his head then put him in the crossface with barbed wire and Black passed out.
Winner: Adam Copeland
