Rey Fenix won the AEW International Championship tonight on AEW Dynamite but Jon Moxley appeared to have been legitimately hurt.
Towards the end of the match, Moxley looked like he was knocked out after taking the cradle bomb move from Fenix. Referee Rick Knox made the count as Fenix covered Moxley but he held up at 2 and a half, despite Moxley not kicking out. It was clear that this was not supposed to be the finish.
Fenix hit the move again and then pinned Moxley to win the title. The ending of the match was clearly modified but it’s unclear if the finish was. After the commercial break, Excalibur said that Moxley was able to walk to the back under his own power.
