Wednesday’s PAC tribute edition of AEW Dynamite drew 899,000 viewers on TBS, the show’s largest cable audience since October 2023.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported the figures on X on Friday. The show did a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a 0.32 in 25-54. The numbers do not include viewers who watched on HBO Max.

The September 23 episode, which ran three hours with the third hour branded as Collision, drew 641,000 viewers and a 0.10 in 18-49 for the Dynamite portion and 493,000 and a 0.08 for the Collision hour. Wednesday’s audience was up 258,000 viewers, or about 40 percent, from the Dynamite hours of that show.
The 899,000 is the show’s highest total since the October 18, 2023 episode drew 901,000, and the 0.22 demo is its best since the November 13, 2024 episode posted the same number.
Nielsen changed its Big Data + Panel measurement in January 2026, so comparisons to earlier years are not exact.
Wednesday’s show from the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh was a tribute to PAC, who died on September 27 at the age of 40. It opened with a ten-bell salute and closed with a video package on his career.
Analysis
AEW has not drawn a number like this on cable in years, and the TBS figure is only part of the audience. Dynamite has simulcast on HBO Max since January 2025, and neither Warner Bros. Discovery nor AEW releases the streaming numbers. Whatever the Max audience is, it comes on top of the 899,000, and it would not take much to push the combined figure near or past a million. Max subscribers get the show without commercials, and some share of the wrestling audience that already pays for the service is watching there instead of on TBS.
Obviously, the spike is tied to the circumstances. It will be interesting to see if some of the fans that came back or watched for the first time decide to check out the show next week.
