AEW is hosting a special three-hour episode of Dynamite and Collision tonight in Boston’s Agganis Arena, serving as the final stop before Full Gear in Newark, NJ, this Saturday. In one of the evening’s biggest matches, Mercedes Mone will put her Interim ROH Women’s World TV Championship on the line against the current ROH Women’s World TV Champion, Red Velvet, in a unification match to crown the Undisputed champion. Mone will be competing in her hometown, but she must remain focused as her Full Gear opponent, AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander.
The inaugural AEW National Championship will be determined at Full Gear in a Casino Gauntlet. Tonight, two qualifying matches will take place to determine who enters the match first and second. Bobby Lashley will go one-on-one for the first time in AEW against Ricochet to determine the entrant for the #1 spot. Following that, Speedball Mike Bailey will meet Shelton Benjamin in singles action for the right to enter the match second.
AEW Men’s World Champion Hangman Adam Page continues his quest to neutralize The Opps before his rematch with Samoa Joe in a steel cage at Full Gear. Tonight, Page, whose back is still damaged from recent attacks, faces AEW World Trios Champion Katsuyori Shibata in singles competition. Kenny Omega also returns to the show, with revenge on his mind after Josh Alexander took out yet another of Omega’s closest allies, Michael Nakazawa, as the issues with the Don Callis Family continue to build.
In a Double Jeopardy match, AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada takes on CMLL World Trios Champion Mascara Dorada. The winner will earn a shot at the loser’s title at a later date. If Okada wins, he earns an opportunity for Dorada’s CMLL World Trios Championships. If Dorada wins, he’ll earn a shot at the AEW Unified Championship.
