AEW Dynamite Preview: Philly Street Fight, World Champion In Action

Tonight marks the final week of All Elite Wrestling’s residency at the historic 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, and the company is closing out its run in the former ECW Arena with a loaded episode of Dynamite. The show will feature both the Men’s and Women’s World Champions in action, a TBS Championship feud taking center stage, and a Philly Street Fight.

AEW Men’s World Champion “Hangman” Adam Page is on a quest for revenge. After the Don Callis Family, and specifically TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher, were responsible for putting his friend and former tag team partner Kenny Omega on the shelf last week, the champion is looking for a fight. Tonight, he will go one-on-one with another member of the Don Callis Family, the “Walking Weapon” Josh Alexander, in a match.

The AEW women’s division will be heavily featured on tonight’s show with two matches. First, the AEW Women’s World Champion, “Timeless” Toni Storm, will defend her title against Skye Blue in a Philly Street Fight. After laying down an open challenge on Collision, Storm was answered by a member of the “Triangle of Madness.”

In the other women’s match of the night, the TBS Champion, Mercedes Mone, will be in tag team action. Following the return of the inaugural AEW Women’s World Champion, Riho, last week, Mone will now team up with Riho’s mentor, Emi Sakura, to take on the team of Riho and Alex Windsor. The match comes ahead of the TBS Championship match between Mone and Riho at the All Out pay-per-view.

Also on the show, in a preview of another match for the All Out pay-per-view, Ricochet will go one-on-one with The Hurt Syndicate’s Shelton Benjamin. The two men will be on opposite sides of a trios match at the pay-per-view, as Ricochet and The Gates of Agony will take on The Hurt Syndicate.

AEW Dynamite airs live tonight at 8 p.m. ET on TBS and will also be available for streaming on Max.
