Welcome to our live coverage of AEW Dynamite, which is emanating from The Wolstein Center in Cleveland Ohio. announced for tonight’s show, Death Triangle will take on United Empire in a trios tag team championship tournament match, Dax Harwood will take on Jay Lethal, Britt Baker will take on KiLynn King, Billy Gunn will take on Colten Gunn, Chris Jericho and Daniel Garcia will come face-to-face, Ricky Starks will address Powerhouse Hobbs, and CM Punk and Jon Moxley will battle to determine the Undisputed AEW world champion. 

– Chris Jericho makes his entrance, Jericho welcomes the fans to Dynamite, Jericho says that last week there was a little issue between himself and Daniel Garcia, Jericho then calls out Garcia, Jericho says that Garcia slayed the dragon last week, Jericho says that Garcia put his hands on Jericho last week in the heat of the moment, Jericho then asks Garcia to apologize to him, Garcia says that he went thirty minutes with his hero in the best match in Dynamite history, Garcia says that all he cared about was that moment and Jericho ruined it for him, Jericho then demands that Garcia calls himself a sports entertainer, Bryan Danielson then interrupts, Bryan says that Bryan can be whatever he wants to be because he respects their wrestling match last week, Bryan then calls Garcia a wrestler, Garcia says that he can’t make this decision right now, Garcia then pushes Jericho down, Bryan says that was pretty entertaining, Jericho says that he’s been around Bryan the last 15 years and he isn’t the best wrestler in the world, Jericho says that he’s the last survivor of Stu Hart’s dungeon, Jericho says that he knows more about wrestling than Bryan does, Bryan then calls out Jericho to a match, Jericho then accepts Bryan to a match at All Out, Jake Hager then attacks Bryan from behind, Hager then hits a suplex on Bryan.

Match 1: Dax Harwood vs Jay Lethal 

– The match starts off with both men locking up, Harwood then hits an armdrag on Lethal, Lethal then hits a hiptoss on Dax, followed by a dropkick, both men then exchange a series of chops, Dax then hits a big back bodydrop on Lethal, Lethal then hits a russian legsweep from the second rope on Dax as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Lethal drop Dax from the top rope, Dax then hits two german suplexes on Lethal, Lethal then hits the lethal combination on Dax to secure a nearfall, Lethal then hits a tope suicida on Dax, Dax then hits a slingshot powerbomb on Lethal to secure a nearfall, Dax then locks Lethal in a sharpshooter but Sonjay Dutt distracts Dax from the apron, Dax then hits a springboard crossbody from the second rope onto Lethal, Lethal then rolls up Dax while holding the tights to secure the pinfall victory.

Winner via pinfall: Jay Lethal at 12:50.

– Jay Lethal then announces that The Motor City Machine Guns are his partners in the trios tournament. 

– Thunder Rosa announces that she has to give up the women’s championship, Rosa says that at All Out a new champion will be crowned. 

Match 2: Colten Gunn vs Billy Gunn 

– The match starts off with Colten taking down Billy and taunting on the ropes, Billy then teases punching Colten but Colten retreats as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Billy throw Colten back into the ring, Colten then lands a series of stomps onto Billy in the corner, Billy then hits two closelines on Colten, Billy then stomps away at Colten in the corner, Stokely Hathaway then hits Bowens with a boombox, Colten then lowblows Billy behind the referee’s back, Colten then hits the Colt 45 to secure the pinfall victory. 

Winner via pinfall: Colten Gunn at 6:18.

– After the match, Austin and Colten continue to beat down Billy but Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland make the save, causing Colten and Austin to retreat. 

Match 3: Britt Baker vs KiLynn King 

– The match starts off with King landing a kick to the stomach of Britt, Britt then hits a slingblade on KiLynn, Britt then lands a stiff punch to the face of KyLynn, Britt then sends KiLynn face first into the second turnbuckle, both women then exchange a series of punches, KiLynn then hits a roundhouse kick on Britt, followed by a german suplex, Britt then hits a superkick to the face of KiLynn, Britt then hits the curbstomp on KiLynn, Britt then locks in the lockjaw to secure the submission victory.

Winner via submission: Britt Baker at 3:54. 

– After the match, Britt says that she wrestled her entire title reign with a broken wrist because that’s what a champion does, Toni Storm then interrupts, Jamie Hayter then attacks Toni from behind, Hikaru Shida then makes the save with a kendostick, causing Hayter and Baker to retreat. 

Match 4: AEW world championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs CM Punk (c)

– The match starts off with both men staring each other down from across the ring, both men then lock up, Moxley then lands a series of punches and forearms on Punk in the corner, Punk then lands a series of punches on Moxley in the corner, Punk then hits a sidekick to the side of Moxley’s head, causing Punk to injury his foot, Moxley then hits a closeline on Punk, followed by a series of elbows to the side of Punks head, Moxley then hits two paradigm shifts on Punk to secure the pinfall victory. 

Winner and NEW AEW world champion: Jon Moxley at 3:09. 

– Ricky Starks then makes his entrance, Starks says that he’s hurt and pissed off, Starks says that when his neck was broken, Hobbs called him everyday, Starks says that Hobbs was in the background of Britt Baker until he came around, Starks says that Hobbs hit him in his neck after knowing how close he was to retirement, Starks then calls Hobbs a snake, Starks then calls out Hobbs to a match at All Out. 

Match 5: United Empire vs Death Triangle 

– The match starts off with Fenix and Ospreay exchanging a series of counters, all six men then exchange a series of punches in the ring, Death Triangle then take out United Empire with dives over the top rope, Pac then lands a series of chops to the chest of Ospreay, Fenix then hits a dropkick to the back of Ospreay’s head as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Fenix land a slap to the chop of Ospreay, Ospreay then takes out Penta and Pac with a corkscrew on the outside, Ospreay then hits a suplex on Fenix, Penta then hits a superkick on Davis, Fenix is thrown to the outside as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Penta superkick Ospreay inbetween the ropes, Pac then hits a german suplex on Ospreay, Lucha Brothers then brawl with Aussie Open in the ring, Death Triangle then hit a three way poisonrana on United Empire, Pac and Ospreay then stare off, both men then exchange a series of punches, Ospreay then hits an enziguri on Pac, Pac then hits a superplex on Ospreay off the top rope as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as we see Fenix hit a hurricarana from the top rope onto Ospreay but Ospreay lands on his feet, Fenix then hits a cutter on Ospreay, Pac then hits a tornado DDT on Ospreay, Pac then hits a moonsault from the top of the ringpost onto Fletcher and Ospreay, Kip Sabian then attacks Pac from behind, Ospreay then hits the ozcutter on Fenix to secure the pinfall victory.

Winners via pinfall: United Empire

– After the match, Kenny Omega and The The Young Bucks stare down United Empire from the ramp.
